Comments on today's headlines

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) - Slobodan Milosevic's son alleged on Tuesday that his father had been "killed," while a U.N. war crimes tribunal official said the court had been told the late Serb leader had regular access to unprescribed medication and alcohol smuggled into his prison cell.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the tribunal's strict confidentiality rules, told The Associated Press that the unit's prison warden had told the court that he could no longer guarantee Milosevic's health.
The official said prison authorities repeatedly found banned material in his cell, including alcohol and unprescribed drugs.
The prison warden, Timothy McFadden, refused interview requests, and U.N. tribunal spokeswoman Alexandra Milenov said the court could not comment "because the investigation into Milosevic's death is ongoing."

I don’t mean to be rude, but does anyone really care if the guy was poisoned? Should there even be an investigation? Is anyone crying tears over this maniac’s death? Good riddance. And if we find the person who poisoned him we should give them a medal.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - Prosecutors are struggling to save their bid to execute al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui after the judge said a government lawyer's misconduct makes it very difficult for the case to go forward.
Visibly angry, U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema summoned the offending lawyer, Carla J. Martin of the Transportation Security Administration, to a hearing Tuesday to assess what damage she may have done by coaching seven witnesses.

This doesn’t surprise me. Our justice system is a joke. It’s set up to protect the criminal and not advocate for the victim. So now our tax dollars will probably pay to keep this guy alive for decades, while he enjoys a better life in an American prison than he ever would have had somewhere in a Middle Eastern slum. This is the best thing that ever happened to Moussaoui. Personally, I think the guy should be at Gitmo. He is part of Al Qaeda, and we are currently at war with Al Qaeda, so why are we trying him in civilian court? Someone, somewhere needs to decide if we are AT WAR OR NOT. What’s it gonna be. If we’re not at war, then pull the troops home. If we ARE at war, let’s act like it…commit ourselves fully, with all of our resources until the enemy is defeated. I’m sick of playing games, and Moussaoui’s trial is a prime example.

I can’t speak for everyone, but as for me, I don’t give a damn if they went in and cut his head OFF…

He’s dead, really, really dead…

Reminds me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz…

And if there is a Heaven and hell, that SOB is burning in HELL right now…
