What is he talking about???

I just read over the transcript from last night’s debate and found this from Biden, not sure how I missed it last night:

“When we kicked — along with France, we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon, I said and Barack said, “Move NATO forces in there. Fill the vacuum, because if you don’t know — if you don’t, Hezbollah will control it.” Now what’s happened? Hezbollah is a legitimate part of the government in the country immediately to the north of Israel.”

Honestly, does anyone know what the hell Biden is talking about? We kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon? And France helped us do it? Can anyone explain this to me or was I in a coma at some time during a Franco-American war in Lebanon? And then Biden and Obama demanded NATO forces move in and secure the area? Where did this come from? Biden completely fabricated a war in Lebanon. Why isn’t the press talking about this?

Biden prefaced this by saying that no one has been a better friend to Israel than Joe Biden. I wonder how the Israelis feel about Biden creating a completely fictional history of the Middle East.

Yes, Doctor John! Joe Biden also mentioned Hamas, but he failed to say a word about Jimmy Carter's SUPPORT for Hamas, the Iranian Government's Puppet-Killers in Palestine. Hamas & Saudi Puppet Fatah kill each other, when there are no Israeli targets! It's an ancient Kill-Culture, and average Americans don't have a clue.

P.S. John deserves more comments on this post. Where are those talkative rascals? Allison, Dan, Loop Garoo? Say something! reb

Once Our U.S. Congress Approves A Military Committment Of Troops To A
Battle Zone, It Defies All Logic To Insist That Washington D.C. Remain In Control Of Any War Zone.

We Made That Mistake In Vietnam!

Pres Lyndon Baines Johnson Allowed Robert S. McNamara To Usurp Our Field General Decisions In That Ten-Year "No-Win War" And 58,000 Fine Troops Died Needlessly! It Was
A Bloody Quaqmire.

Now, Sen Joseph Biden & Junior Obama Hope To Establish "TimeLines" And "Re-Deploy" Our Forces In Iraq, And In Afganistan!

Gov Sarah Palin Is Correct. It's A White Flag Of Surrender, Joe! Let General David Petraeus Make Those Critical Command Decisions, And Keep Hot-Air Partisan Politics Off Of The Battlefields! reb

I have no idea, but that's not to say it didn't happen. Possibly some bizarre and obscure little policy decision he's trying to hyperinflate into some kind of conflict. Or some minor operation. Who knows?

Or he's lying as you suggest. Either way he's an ass.

Though it's still not quite as bad as when he said FDR got on TV to help the nation during the stock market crash - when FDR wasn't president and TVs weren't really invented yet.

snake hunter sez,

Yes Robert, Television was a proven concept in 1928, but R&D was interrupted by a Depression, followed by WWII, and mass production of Tv wasn't a reality until four years after the end of WWII. FDR gave "Fireside Chats' during the war, On The Radio, and dads, moms and grandparents worked in war plants!

After the Pearl Harbor attack on Dec 7, 1941, my old, crippled dad got a job in the Union Pacific Rail Yard, and Mom had her job at Bell Telephone. "Rosie The Riveter" was a popular song.

Hollywood Movies & Music were
Patriotic then, Male Movie Stars donned Military Uniforms...Everyone pulled together to Win That Damn War! I was 20, in Italy, and cried like a baby when FDR died...He was my Commander-In-Chief!

There was no Hip-Hop or Rap-Crap-Kill-A-Cop Negativity Then; No Way!

No GEORGE SOROS to spread his Poisonous Hate-America Propaganda, No UFPJ or Code Pink to undermine military recruitment, No DailyKos, or Media Matters or Huffington Post
Garbage. We had been attacked, we were At War! No phony "Peace Vigils", No Loony-Tune "Civil Disobedience" Nutzies like William Charles Ayers, or Jeremiah Wright, or Father Plueger to whip up racial hatred in the churches. We were One Nation, Indivisable, fighting for our national survival against Imperial Japanese Warlords, and Hitler's Panzer Divisions in North
Africa, Italy, France, & Germany & in the South Pacific. 12,000,000 U.S. civilians suddenly in military uniforms, weeks after Pearl Harbor, Dec 7, 1941. Boeing &
Douglas Aircraft cranked out thousands of war planes, Kaiser built Warships and Troop Transport Ships, and "Rosie The Riveter" was a popular song symbolizing old men & young women in Defense Plants building a million tons of war material, Jeeps & Sherman Tanks!

A great generation, all pulling together to "get it done!", and we did.

After we won that war, we rebuild a crushed, bombed-out Germany & Japan with the Marshall Plan! (Research it) Today, they study war no more! Peaceful & Productive, they now sell Toyota & Nissan, Volkswagon & Mercedes to the world; Imagine that, Robert!

In this one, The Grand Ayatollah Khomeini grabbed our embassy on Nov 4, 1979, and wimp Jimmy Carter did NOTHING; 1983 the Marine Barracks in Lebanon. 1993, the underground garage at NY World Trade Center, then 9/11 Woke Us Up, for a few months. Yeah, we were at WAR again, with "Holy" Islam. Bombs going off in capital cities around the world. Idiots blame George Bush, not the Kill-culture that chops off heads on Holy Fridays!

Hurricane Katrina, Bush did it! Crazy stuff. 9/11 was an "Inside Job", ask Rosie O'Donnell on The View! Hate America! Hate Republicans, hate "liberals", etc

United We Stand, Divided We Fall.
Does that sound too patriotic & stupid, for young Robert???

Actually I was agreeing with your general opinion so I don't think the above was at all necessary...

Your perception of my character appears very presumptive. Don't let that stop your reminiscing, however. The 40s were probably very interesting, and I mean that. (The jeep was invented in the 40s; that's something after all.)

To set the record straight, however, I don't, in fact, listen to "Hip-Hop or Rap-Crap-Kill-A-Cop" as you so quaintly put it. I'm more of a country person myself. The only thing you've been accurate in judging is that I think patriotism is silly. But that's not the subject at hand, so I don't really think a discussion on said subject is necessary.

Have a nice day, whatever decade you're currently living in.

Robert, I do not sit in judgement of anyone's true character, except perhaps from a few snippets of conversation; and that's hardly enough to form a solid opinion. So, I reserve any final judgement.

'Rap-crap-kill-a-cop' was merely an observation of the current idiocy of this generation...not a personal attack on you.

Patriotism is fully understood AND appreciated only after viewing other cultures, reading their history, observing the behavior of hostile nations attitudes, and the
desire to forcefully impose ugly & dangerous religious notions on their peaceful neighbors.

I refer to Islam, Shia & Sunni (Persia & Saudi Arabia). Clearly, they have a Master-plan to rule this planet (with Allah's help) eliminate our First Amendment Freedoms, and CHANGE everything with Sharia Law & The Holy Koran.

If we permit them to enrich U-235, "Wipe Israel Off The Map" this generation has their collective heads in the sand, and WWIII is inevitable.

I've been talking crazy like this since Nov 4, 1979, ringing a Fire-bell, loudly crying wolf, but who is listening to an old fool?

Winston Churchill Quote: "The Appeaser Feeds The Crocodile, In Hope Of Being Eaten Last".

Have a nice day, Robert. reb

Well I won't get into that particular issue, as I stated. My final word is that I value to individual over the state. That's all there is to it.

Glad to hear the rap thing wasn't aimed at me personally. I hesitate to call that music.

How are liking Gettysburg? What courses are you taking? Have you joined any organizations?

A better question. Disd your HS adequately prepare you for the academic rigor of Gettysburg?

It's pretty good. I'm taking history and political courses mostly. And I'm on the ultimate team. As for the academics, it's surprisingly easy, being freshman year and all.

Robert, Good luck!!! If you dig history, I would strongly recommend
a Search-Line to King Hammurabi Code, 1800 B.C. Humanity's Giant Leap Forward...600 years before the 10 Commandments, in Babylon.
An adventure, I assure you.

We covered that in high school yes, though my focus is American history primarily.
