In the 2005 Egyptian parlimentary elections, there 150 Muslim Brotherhood candidates who ran as independents and these candidates did quite well.<BR/><BR/>Hamas was democratically elected by the Palestinians.<BR/><BR/>I'm not sure what the solution is here but it does seem as if our most steadfast allies in the region, w/ the exception of Israel, are monarchies.<BR/><BR/>Regards.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
